Philipponnat Royale Réserve Rosé Brut

December, more than any other month of the year, is a time for celebration, and Champagne is (without a doubt) the official beverage. Let’s toast to the season with a sparkler from the House of Philipponnat. Established 500 years ago, Philipponnat has remained a family business ever since. They own 20 hectares in the heart of Champagne and pride themselves on meticulous farming practices and their use of premier cru and grand cru fruit that has been carefully aged and blended to perfection.

The Royale Reserve Rose is no exception. The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir that has been organically and biodynamically grown, and 53% of the blend is reserve wine. The color of the wine is salmon pink evolving towards coppery glints with a very fine perlage. Bold and refined, this elegant wine reveals a beautiful aromatic intensity with generous red fruit aromas that are enhanced by a hint of Christmas spice. On the palate, there is a beautiful presence of red fruit, a very delicate minerality and a long complex finish.

Champagne is the most versatile food wine in the world. So, everything from the ahi tuna to the truffled pepperoni pizza to the snapper and even the steaks are in play with this wine. Happy Holidays, drink more Champagne!
